Our 2005 finalist judges included high level industry professionals and artists. The preliminary judging was accomplished through a peer review system that was open to all participants. Final judging included a combination of our judges votes plus online voting by the general public.

Teddy Riley TEDDY RILEY - Pop/R&B/Hip-Hop Producer, Songwriter, and Musician
The acknowledged "King of New Jack Swing," producer/songwriter Teddy Riley's enviable list of platinum-laced credits include Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Jay-Z, Guy, the Winans, Joe, 'NSYNC, Keith Sweat, Mary J. Blige, Blackstreet, Patti LaBelle, Bobby Brown, and Tom Jones among many others.


Bobby Brown BOBBY BROWN - Singer, Songwriter, Producer, & Actor
One of the brightest R&B stars of the late '80s and early '90s, Bobby Brown was the man who popularized new jack swing, a blend of classic soul, urban synth-funk, and hip-hop rhythms that often featured rap breaks in between the conventionally melodic verses and choruses.


Michael Jay MICHAEL JAY - Pop/Dance/Hip-Hop Producer and Songwriter
Michael owns Jambo Studios in Los Angeles where he writes and produces for big stars as well as new and developing talent. He has worked with Celine Dion, Kylie Minogue, Eminem, Gloria Estefan, Chaka Kahn, and Mandy Moore just to name a few.


Onreé Gill ONREÉ GILL - R&B/Hip-Hop/Gospel Producer and Musician
Onreé Gill has made his mark in every facet of music, from producing to performing and remixing. Gill has worked with divas like Tina Turner and Mary J. Blige, hip-hop royalty like P. Diddy and Missy Elliott, popular musician and songwriter John Mayer, plus gospel singer Cece Winans. He is currently the music director and keyboardist for Alicia Keys.


Jackie Martling JACKIE MARTLING - Comedian
A longtime fixture of radio's Howard Stern Show during the late 80's and 90's, comedian Jackie "The Joke Man" Martling was born and raised on Long Island, NY. To date he has several albums, movies, and TV appearances on his list of credits as well as numerous live appearances at comedy clubs and other venues around the world.


Sibby Hashian SIBBY HASHIAN - Musician
Siiby's rise to rock stardom came as the drummer for the supergroup Boston. Spanning a career of decades Sibby has been around the world playing sold out stadiums and arenas. Sibby is currently working on a variety of musical projects with the latest sounds of the new Roland electronic drums. He also appears at many benefits for a variety of causes including the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism.


Martii Garcia MARTII GARCIA - Singer, Dancer, & Choreographer
You probably will recognize Martii as one of the finalists on P. Diddy's "Making The Band 3" on MTV. Best known for her unique dance moves on the show, Martii quickly became the favorite of renowned choreographer Laurie Ann Gibson. Martii attended both the New England Conservatory and Berklee College of Music in Boston. Currently Martii is working on several new projects and hopes to have a new album out soon.


Greg Brown GREGORY BROWN - Model & Talent Coordinator
Gregory Brown, owner and founder of BMG Models, began as a fashion model in Paris and was represented by 18 agenices worldwide. Today BMG Models has three offices representing over 1200 top models and talent from around the world.


Vinny Vella Sr. VINNY VELLA SR. - Actor
At first glance you may recognize Vinny from the movie blockbusters "Casino" or "Analyze That" starring Robert De Niro. Or perhaps you've seen him in last season's "The Sopranos" playing "Jimmy Petrille". Vinny's list of credits also include many major independent films like "Kissing Jessica Stein".


Shemekia Copeland SHEMEKIA COPELAND - Blues/Jazz Vocalist
Since the 1997 release of her debut singing sensation Shemekia Copeland has taken the music world by storm. She holds four W.C. Handy Awards, five Living Blues Awards, and a Grammy© nomination. She has appeared before national audiences on Late Night With Conan O’Brien (twice) and the CBS Saturday Early Show. She has also been the subject of countless magazine and newspaper features. Rock legend Robert Plant calls her "the next Tina Turner."


Jim Landry JIM LANDRY - Rock Producer & Former Elektra A&R
Jim started his musical career working in the A&R department at Elektra records handling the careers of acts like Moby, Tracy Chapman, and Phish. Jim is now producing/engineering/mixing other artists, as well as recording many of his old and new songs. He remains an "artist's artist" and greatly enjoys the collaborative process of making and sharing music.


Jorge Corante JORGE CORANTE - Pop/R&B/Hip-Hop Producer and Songwriter
Jorge's extensive list of credits include projects with Janet Jackson, Paula Abdul, and K-Ci & JoJo. He has also produced tracks for many major motion picture soundtracks including "Scary Movie 3" and "My Baby's Daddy".


Gloria Fontenot GLORIA FONTENOT - Actress and Stuntwoman
Gloria has appeared in many TV shows and movies including "The Italian Job", "The Hot Chick", "ER", "Planet of the Apes", "Buffy The Vampire Slayer", and "Deuce Bigelow". She currently can be seen in "Blade: Trinity" and "Constantine".


Bryan Chan BRYAN CHAN - Atlantic Records Recording Artist
Well known for his role in the original "Making The Band" with P. Diddy on MTV. Bryan was a founding member of LMNT on Atlantic Records. During this project he contributed his vocal as well as songwriting skills. Byan has toured with Britney Spears and appeared on several soundtracks including "The Lizzie McGuire Movie" which featured him on the title ballad "Open Your Eyes To Love"


David Codr DAVID CODR - Promoter and Publisher
David Codr, creator and Publisher of the Music Phone Book, has been a prominent figure in the music industry for the last 20 years. His production company Loaded Music Productions has promoted and produced over 2,000 concerts working with artists like: No Doubt, Sublime, the Black Crows, Blues Traveler, Dave Matthews, Notorious BIG, Stone Temple Pilots and countless others.


Gary Smith GARY SMITH - R&B/Alternative Rock Producer and Songwriter
Gary "Gizzo" Smith has crafted chart-topping hits for today's hottest recording acts such as Lil' Bow Wow and Jagged Edge. He's written and co-produced tracks with Jermaine Dupri and Shekspere and serves as both producer and exective producerof new alternative albums from Priority Records' Steaknife and Epic Records' Rehab.

Andrew Swaine creates bold and colorful images that are about people. The images are up-close, personal, and powerful. They give the viewer a desire to get to know the subject. His images are about bringing the individual's personality out. His dynamic imagery can be seen in editorial or advertisements.
